Mane, fresh out of jail, is simply one of the best rappers around but drugs can fuck you up big time and apparently Mane got unstuck on cocaine.
Coke doesn’t give you a hangover (there is no physical withdrawal) so I’ve always wonder exactly how you get addicted to it. I tooted (anybody remember Curtis Mayfield’s “Toot And Toot”?) for years but never had a problem -alcohol was my bitch.
Still, coke is a fantastic drug. Unless you have a heart attack it is hard to die from and if you wanna party all night and all the next day it is unbeatable. I can still taste that medical stuff in the back of my mouth at the thought.
Last time I did coke was ten years ago with my friend Joe Klein on a long weekend in Miami. Man, that stuff was cheap and lethal.
Meanwhile, Mane’s last album was iffy but Brr2 was great and rock nyc wishes him a sturdy rehab.
