I know I know, I wasn't in Pomona Cali on Sunday for the reboot of the Green Day tour, getting something that if it is was good to you than it's gotta be good for you, in a small club no but I can imagine and I can always study the setlist and I am happy to do so (plus, I am catching em at Barclay Center April, so this is like the finals) . It looks like just about what we thought, though we always hope for more of Dookie, and "JAR' thrown in for good measure but, yuck "Oh Love". Please no, bathroom break time. Still, you've got to have a plan got to do what's right, right?
"99 Revolutions" – Reggae tinged power rock off Tres – B-
"Know Your Enemy" – This looks easy but it isn't. It makes a smart comparison with "99 Revolutions" if only because the song is so simple and powerful and "99' just ain't – Grade: A
"Stay the Night" – Good newbie, especially the "get he fuck out of this joint" line -hope they keep it at # 3 – B+
"Stop When the Red Lights Flash" – OK, so far 3 of the 4 are new, but 2 of the 3 new ones are pretty good – B
"Let Yourself Go" – This is one of the best songs off the treble, another song that is all drumming all the time. Triplets on Uno! – A
"Oh Love"- Nooooooooooooooo, 5 out of six are newbies and the biggest dog of the lot is right here… D+
"Holiday" – Hmmm, I wonder why they broke it up? – B
"Letter Bomb" – weird the way they choose a handful of songs off the same album. This is as good as I remembered – B+
"Boulevard of Broken Dreams" – The musical ruined this song for me – B-
"Hitchin' a Ride" -Not complaining mind… but if we are going to listen to Nimrod, why get obscure about it – B+
"Brain Stew" (with parts of "Highway to Hell," "Stairway to Heaven") _awww, why can't they play more oldies? – A
"St. Jimmy" – I'll take part of the blame, but I've had it with American Idiot – C+
"2000 Light Years Away" – Now this is gonna take you back in time. It is remarkable how little their sound as deviated from the blueprint – B+
"Paper Lanterns" – Wow, even earlier replete with guitar solo. Billie Joe's voice hasn't changed much – B+
"When I Come Around" – DOOKIE!!! – A
"Basketcase" – Just about perfect protest song – A+
"F.O.D." – The band stretches a little – B+
"She"- Dookie single – B
"King for a Day" (medley with parts of "Shout" and "Stand By Me") – Nimrod knees up – B+
"Wake Me Up When September Ends" – Changed them into an important pop band that quickly – B
"Minority" – The band was floundering a little in 2000, but this Irish jig is pretty damn good – B+
"American Idiot" – Changed them into the Who – B+
"Jesus of Suburbia" – Superstars end their sets with their biggest songs – B+
