It was with pride and humility I discovered last night that I had gone over one million entries on google. Yes, folks, we the few, the cute, the famous!! But then a friend told me he was nearly at 3M!!! After future research I realized his name, unlike mine, was somewhat on the generic side, which means that he got a lot of other peoples entries when you googled his name!
So when I thought up the concept of checking musicians popularity through their google hits there were any number of rock stars who were simply out of contention: Robert Smith of the Cure? Not invited to the party, and even Morrissey will get too many hits from the Director Paul Morrissey. Otherwise… anything goes! Oh, and some iconic figures and odds and sods:
