Corey Monteith – The star of Glee and a major heartthrob got the gig after film of him singing REO Speedwagon’s “Can’t Fight The Feeling” reached the producers of the huge Fox hit. And the moral to his short tragic life is drug addiction is a disease more than a choice. Some people OD by mistake, they aren’t hardcore, but Corey was heavy into hard drugs from the age of 12. He was 31 years old.

Page Morton Black – Sang the “Chock Full Of Nuts” jingle (she was also married to the owner of the company) all together now “Chock full o’Nuts is that heavenly coffee, Better coffee millionaires’s money can’t buy”. She was 93.

T Model Ford – Excellent blues guitarist who didn’t actually begin his career till he was in his mid-70s but made up for lost time with eight excellent albums on Fat Possum Records

Faye Hunter – Bassist for one of the biggest Athens, Ga bands out there, Let’s Active . Faye was Mitch Easter’s girlfriend and a huge part of that scene. She died of apparent suicide at the age of 59.

JJ Cale – The great singer songwriter who invented the Tulsa Sound. Off Wikipedia, here is a list of people who covered his stuff and what they covered:””After Midnight” and “Cocaine” by Eric Clapton,”Cajun Moon” by Randy Crawford, “Clyde” and “Louisiana Women” by Waylon Jennings, “Magnolia” by Jai, “Bringing It Back” by Kansas, “Call Me the Breeze” and “I Got the Same Old Blues” by Lynyrd Skynyrd, “I’d Like to Love You, Baby” by Tom Petty, “Travelin’ Light” and “Ride Me High” by Widespread Panic, “Tijuana” by Harry Manx, “Sensitive Kind” by Carlos Santana, “Cajun Moon” by Herbie Mann with Cissy Houston, and “Same Old Blues” by Captain Beefheart.” Back up: CAPTAIN BEEFHEART???
