Tim Wright – Former DNA (with Saint Arto Lindsay) and current Pere Ubu bassist, the man even played on Eno and Byrne’s hugely influential My Life In Bush Of Ghosts. So that would make the move from post punk to no wave to post-avant garde. It would also make him a band mate of of one Peter Laughner.

Mick Farren – From proto-punk to agit popper to pop writer to pop star to sci fi writer and back, the “Black Leather Jacket” author collapsed on stage in the middle of a Deviants concert. He was 70.

Kongol El-Ondor – According to Wikipedia: “was a master Tuvan throat singer and a member of the Great Khural Of Tuva” . Kongol was 51 years old. Try Back Tuva Future –it is really different and weird and the beats are way out there and the singing is wow.

George Duke – Former Zappa keyboard player went on to release over 30 solo albums of experimental and jazz infused music.

Elizabeth Danko – Rick Danko of the Bands wife, Robbie robertson said of her passing: “Elizabeth and Rick were true partners—in life. They balanced each other and she was dedicated to taking care of Rick the very best she could. In the last years I saw Rick up in Woodstock. I’d be there mixing a new record and he would say, ‘Can you play some of your new songs for Elizabeth?’ I loved playing my new music for Elizabeth…. she knew what I was reaching for. Miss my old friends Bless her soul. Thoughts and prayers from our family to hers. I hope she’ll be taking care of Rick once again…. Robbie.” She died in a senior Citizens home.
