omFG!!!!!!!!! THIS is what I love a skip steady drum, easy (yet Elfmanlike STILL) vocal.
This is top down driving summer music. The kind that you almost turn up so others hear how cool you are. I’m now loving the fact that I saw them ‘way back when’, cuz suddenly I see their future. Its pretty bright.
A heavy duty dose of cymbal action just makes me all the more swoony.Some may be but off by the vocals- others such as me, find their quirkiness endearing.
The insanity of musical tempos adds just enough imbalance to make this more sensory than your average pop tune.
And there in likes the hook. this is as pop as I get folks. There are times when all I need is a happy beat and senseless lyrics- and I got that right here.
