If anyone could have 'forced' the sleep deprived, over worked, and a bit stoned version of myself to get up and dance this past Saturday during our voyage into NC/SC for "The Back-to-School Tour" it would be DJ Axis Powers.
But I honestly really enjoyed sitting, and strictly listening to the music, for the quaint Islands bar in Myrtle Beach, SC. Embarking on the journey of mood and mind swings put in place by DJ Axis's superb technical maneuvered and experienced mixing and mashing. Instead of dancing, or getting my "rockstar" on, or attempting to befriend everyone in my proximity, I strictly listened.
A perfect blend of class rock to engage the southern demographic, mixed with current pop and top 40 dance tracks, to insure a boppin head and bouncing legs at each table, with a balanced dose of old school hip/hop from Run DMC to a Biggie homage. WHERE BROOKLYN AT?! It wasn't long before the liquid courage kicked in, and the dance floor was packed.
Our turntable ninja assassin killin the game once again.
Heyooo, as he poses for a mid scratch picture taken by a fan busting a move or two of her own on her way to and from the ones and twos
As more people piled into island bar, more dancing shoes started moving, you could feel the energy in the room slowing increasing.
I was really vibing with his DnB mashup of Kreayshawns "Guci Gucci" regardless of how much I somewhat dislike a portion of her overall 'gimick'. The other half I fucking love, she got some serious swag.
