This song & band is part 2 of my weekly Friday hair/glam movement. I picked this song for reason. I felt is it very fitting since my wife is just about ready to give birth. My last day in the office was Thursday, and our family is starting The Final Countdown.
Europe was a great band back in the day. They still are around, releasing albums and touring. However, just like 90% of the bands from that era, their prime days are behind them. They had mega hits like “Carrie” and “Rock the Night”, but their biggest hit was the “Final Countdown”.
This song withstands the test of time. Even today, this song is blasting from the PA systems at most sports arenas.
I took this picture during our 2nd trip to Russia when we were going through the adoption process.
Not sure what it says, but I think it is cool none the less.
