Gin Wigmore, the New Zealand sensation who sounds like Kelis after a shot of estrogen, supported by the Cardinals (Rya Adams backing band sans Adams) , is coming here in March in support of hersecond album Holy Smokes.
Born in Argentina, Gin moved to New Zealand after her father died of xncer when she was sixteen.
She claims to have started to write songs to kinda give her family the thumbs up that she was really alright. A songwriting phenom on the other side of the world, I guess we will see when she gets here. One things for sure, she’s got a great backing band.
