Get Scared: Webster Theater Friday February 11, 2011 Hartford CT

I’d become a fan of Get Scared on Facebook, and followed them on Twitter, but I never thought I’d like them as much as I do.

When they stepped on stage at the Webster Theatre, I was mesmerized. These boys certainly knew what they were doing, or at least could fake it well. I’d heard little clips of their songs, and liked them but I really didn’t really look into them. Seeing them live definitely changed my mind.

The crowd seemed to be having a good time, and the band caught on and stepped it up a notch. Get Scared were there to have fun, and it was contagious. One or two songs into their set, I knew this band was talented and going places. I was very surprised to find out that a good chunk of the crowd, which was enormous in itself, knew the words to their songs. I expected these guys to be generic with a little to no fan base…boy was I wrong.

Get Scared played a short set, too short actually, and I’m sure picked up more than a couple of fans in the process- including me. They did a great job and I’m really impressed.
