How did I forget this?
Near the top of my albums of the decade (2003) and my albums of all time.
Produced by the legendary Billy Sherrill (remember him? invented countrypolitan for Patsy Cline) The Gospel Collection is two CDs of complete and total genius.
My big sister Feriel Lababedi, bless her, agree’s with me about very little and we certainly don’t agree about whether there is a Lord almighty (guess where I am in the discussion, just guess) but we agree about this deeply moving tribute to the Lord Almighty. If there is a God, it would adore these songs of faith.
I’ll get around to writing about The Gospel Collection at some point honest, till then assume I can place the album any where I want to on my favorite albums list. The best of the decade? Sure. the second best? Why not. Top Ten. Undoubtedly.
