Funk and disco fans (like me) are mournbing the death of Robert Wilson, bassist for the Gap Band. he was 53 years old.
The Gap weren’t just a major 70s/80s funk band as such, Robert’s bass riffs have been sampled by everybody from BlackStreet to Biggie.
A great bassist.
