Friday Glam Band Jam -By Todd Leibowitz

Ok friends.  I am starting a new segment on Rock NYC….  Glam Fridays!
Each Friday, I will post a small bio of a band from the glam/hair era.  That way, you are pumped for the weekend.  LOL.
First installment has to be one from the very first concert I went to.  The band Bonham, started by the son of the legendary Led Zep drummer John Bonham.  Jason Bonham learned from the best.  He took his skills and formed his first band, fittingly called Bonham.  These guys were part of the a triple bill including Dangerous Toys and headliners, The Cult that bought this reviewer into the world of live music.  From that day forward, I always did and always will enjoy going to live shows.
Bonham only had one hit – “Wait For You”.  Still to this day, when it comes on my Ipod, it always brings a smile to my face.   Their song “Gulity” was another song that sorta was a hit, but not as big as “Wait For You” was.  The band broke up after their 2nd album (Mad Hatter) failed to meet the success of their debut album (The Disregard of Timekeeping).
Sadly, lead singer Daniel MacMaster passed away due to complications from pneumonia in March of 2008.
But the band will live on our ipods and memories, and with the help of YouTube.
