I gave Freshman 15's tune "Getting Weird" a listen and found that I quite like them. They've got a punchy angsty feel, but also have a pop edge, too.
Some of the song reminds me a bit of the band Stereo Skyline, only one hundred times better. The instruments have a smooth quality to them that make the song really pleasant to listen to. The singer's voice is also really good, with a unique feel that really gives the band something that makes them stand out. Also, the melody is super catchy and I can imagine it being on the radio, and stuck in people's heads.
Freshman 15 sounds as though they could be the next All Time Low, or Mayday Parade. The band's definitely got the potential and the right sound to go far. These guys are not getting weird, but they're going to be getting popular.
