Madonna is giving away a free download of her new album MDNA with every ticket you buy to her concert.
Prince gave away a free copy of his album, claimed it was include in the cost of the ticket, and garnered his last # 1.
If that is what Madonna is doing, take a gander of these numbers.

Yankee Stadium seats 70,000.
That's 70,000 units moved per night. 140,000 in total and suddenly Madonna is half way to a # 1 album and she has done absolutely nothing. This is somewhat borderline, it is not unlike buying up 20,000 copies of a Pretenders singles back in the 1970s, so they could get all the publicity from a hit song. And not a bad idea. Plus I'm not certain that's what she's doing… Still, why not. Right???
