Four Year Strong, "What The Hell IS A Gigawatt?" Reviewed

I love Four Year Strong so much, so I was excited to hear them perform "What The Hell Is A Gigawatt" live.  I love the song recorded, and once I hit "play", I was intrigued.

I've seen FYS live before, and I love their energy. The tune is very catchy, but is most certainly in need of a synth, which they dropped a while back.  It has a good beat and is totally classic, nostalgic Four Year Strong with a bit of something extra.  I love how angsty and emotional their voices are; it's part of what makes me love the band so much.  The drummer is so mind blowingly phenomenal, and is what makes the song just that much greater.  The depth of the instruments is wicked captivating, and shows off their true talent.  The best part is definitely the breakdown, because it's one of the most unique the band has in their repertoire.

Overall I was really impressed with the performance, but the crowd was definitely not into it, which was disappointing.  It just made me even more excited to see Four Year Strong when they come around to my area again.
