So Forever The Sickest Kids’ self-titled album came today and I love it. “Keep On Bringing Me Down” shows so much growth and maturity in the band but they still have the punchy lyrics and teenage-high-school feel. It’s so catchy and exciting and it’s fantastic.
“Robots an Aliens” is so fun. The lyrics are so cute and it’s an amazing love song. I can definitely tell that it’ll be stuck in my head for quite a while.
“I Guess You Can Say Things Are Getting Pretty Serious” is so great. The instruments are so together, especially in the middle. They’ve all grown up and it not only shows through the lyrics and the singer’s voice, but their skill level has gone up so much it’s like they’re entirely different band.
“Bipolar Baby!” has to be my favourite song off this album. At first I thought it was going to be a little mini flashback to “She’s A Lady”, but I was so wrong. This is a new, energetic, and wonderful song. I’ve never heard anything like it, and I hope that FTSK continues on this path.
Forever The Sickest Kids can only go up from here. This album shows not only improvement, but a new approach to music. It’s all for the better.
