Fleetwood Mac Live Setlist 2013

Last Wednesday saw the eagerly anticipated return to the stage of Fleetwood Mac, the So Cal Mac, the Buckingham Nicks plus Mick plus the bluesy couple of McVies with the exception of one of the Mcvies, and, after Buckingham, the most important member of the band. Christine McVie.

The last time I saw Fleetwood Mac was 1997 and Christine was with them, it was at the IZOD (the Continental back in the day) and it wasn't bad but it wasn't great and I kinda didn't bother after that because, really, if they aren't great with Christine, they should be much worse without her. No "You Make Loving Fun" no Iman.  I can't stomach Stevie Nicks, with the exception of "Landslide" and a couple of others, the twee swirly gypsy twit drives me crazy. She was atrocious opening for Rod Stewart a couple of years ago.

But what price Buckingham? I had tix to and missed him last two times the great man was in town and I really wanna hear him again, and it has been 15 tyears so… The setlist is heavy on Rumours, less heavy on Fleetwood mac, very little McVie (really? "Don't Stop") and way way too heavy on on the Nicks. A few off Tusk, less off Mirage and Tango in Love, including the awesome "Big Love". It sounds like the Mac meet Roxy Music.

So, I will be there Monday at MSG and here is the setlist. I would give it a "B".
