And here is our first steal from Direct Current. You can stream a new song played on the Priarie Home Companion. It’s called “Jimmy Standing In The rain” and god is it bad. A sorta low key thirties piece of piss poor tedium about some bloke with turberculosis eyes (ugh -jeez, what a fucking cliché, though he does rhyme it with” in and out of focus” which is pretty smart). The sax is sub-Chet Baker and the trombone not up to much.
I hope it is NOT OFF his October 5 release American Ransom.
Oh and there is a best of the Universal records years called Pomp And Pout -of course there were no best during that dreadful period.
