I love Elton John, not like that, well maybe. He wouldnt be down anyway.
I was watching ‘Almost Famous’ yesterday, the whole band had just got in a fight, they are on their tour bus, and out of the blue they all start singing ‘Tiny Dancer,’ some magic goes down and then they are all friends again. I started singing along, same w my lady friend whom I was watching it with; it was special.
Today I got a @#&%@$ boot on my @%#&** car for having too many @*&*@$% parking tickets; I had to deal w some stupid @$$ form my school to get it resolved and now im out too much money to even want to type it. To say the lease I’m in quite the bitter of moods, which is not my style especially since I was having such a splendid day/few days despite the tropical storm hitting lil Wilmington, NC like we owed her money.
Moral of the story, ‘Rocket Man” came on my shuffle mere hrs after my car/boot situation, and again like magic all is better; I feel great, uplifted, nothing can hold me down.
I instantly get off shuffle mode to run through ‘Your Song” ( top 10 song of Woody) and a LIVE version of ‘Piano Man’ i have thats a duet w Billy Joel and Elton John, its gives me the chills on occasion.
Moral of the moral of the story is, no matter how shitty your day is, no matter the depth of shit you have gotten into upstream w no paddle, no matter what, take a pause, a deep breath, put on a great song, ( maybe some Elton if you so fancy), be happy for you life and just remember every little thing gonna be alright.
Don’t sweat the small stuff, and remember its all small stuff.
