I know nothing of the man other than he did a warbled version of “This Land Is Your Land” and that Topper Headon of The Clash called Strummer Woody cuz they had the same ears.
Guthrie is an American folk hero, so they say. He has influenced loads of people who in turn influenced hacks like me. So before you go spewing hippy crap at me on how he was a genious or whatever, let it go.

In looking for a sexy picture to put up in his honor, I found it impossible. Hobo chic is one thing, but perhaps he spent more time being brilliant than washing up. I did find this semi sexy pic cuz I think guys with cigarettes hanging out of their mouths look instantly cooler and the woman here is adorable
