Donny Osmond is being sued by the producer of his Las Vegas Show with sister Marie.
Producer Chip Lightman was told he had to take a 50% cut in pay if he wanted the siblings to extend the show through 2012. Chip called Donny “ “underhanded, devious, fraudulent and greedy. His actions are contrary to the wholesome, all-American, good-natured image that he presents to the public. And despite Marie’s seemingly innocent nature, she too is liable for the fraud.”
the moral: it is a scummy business and if a producer isn’t need he is gonna find himself in a game of hardball.
PS: Where is Donny and Marie’s manager in all this??? Surely, he should be taking the fall for what seems like a pretty good ruse. Chip either takes a 50% hit or quits, Donny either signs immediately or waits for Chip to leave and resigns.
