Does Everything Live On, On Line????

Doing my rounds, googling, looking up stories for rock nyc, trying to get something to spark something in my brain which, days of writing with less than usual help (I’m good for 10 posts a day, 15 is pushing me to the limits and a coupla days of 15 posts a day and it becomes painful -and not only to read), when I came across a quote from a review I wrote 25 years ago or so of the English movie “Eat the Rich”
James Molan mentioned my review on  a comment on the movie on youtube ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gk3NKyUfuN0 ). How he found it is beyond me and I promise if he hadn’t said it was by me,  I’d have had no idea. Anyway, thanks James and here is the quote:
To a man all our American movie critics trashed this film. Only CREEM Magazine’s Iman Lababedi got it,that underneath the dark comedy/satire, it shows you “the basic paradigm of Western civilization : while we attemp for some form of real financial equality and fair deal, society has formed us so that we can’t, or won’t, or shouldn’t, pay tthe price of equality.” Pretty highfalutin’ words, but the fella’s got a point. I still think it’s one of the best movies of the ’80s, way better than E.T.”
I don’t write like that any more and when people (some woman on facebook called my grammer worse than  a high schoolers) complain my answer is twofold:
1) I don’t have the time I need to write to fine tune ANYTHING.
AND
2) I don’t wanna. I want to write so directly you feel as if I’m right next to you -I want to draw you in to my enthuisiasms.
Though I still use that “can’t, or won’t, or shouldn’t” iteration all the day long…
