We have two cool birthdays today!
Happy Birthday to the Brown Dirt Cowboy, also known as Bernie Taupin. Writer extraordinaire for the formerly amazing Elton John.
The lyricist who brought us Taupin’s lyrics include such tunes as “Rocket Man”, “Tiny Dancer”, “Candle in the Wind”, “Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me”, “Daniel”, and 1970’s “Your Song”, their first hit. And stuff in the 80’s we wont mention cuz I don’t want to soil his cool.
Born in 1950 lets not pigeon whole him to Elton as he has also worked with Kid Rock, Brian Wilson, Courtney Love, Starship and more. Brilliance with a pen.
Happy Birthday also to Jerry Dammers.. Woo Ska x 2 apparently as Mr Specials born today in 1955. Did you know you can google Jerry Dammers teeth? I love being a Brit… really I do. And Iman will put up a flattering photo I’m sure as it is the boys big day.
He did “Too Much Too Young” in the “Nightclub” and ALSO did that “chka chka’ thing as discussed with our Madness birthday day before last!
