Diplos: A Playlist For A Winters Day by Iman Lababedi

True Love – Bing Crosby – With Grace Kelly on their honeymoon in a boat and a dream of a perfect happy ending (though they’ll have to wait another hour till they get it) and a guardian angel looking on with nothing to do. Grace never looked lovelier.
O.N.E. – Yeasayer – somewhere between a bleeping wall of synth, an electronic snooze party and a new wave resurrection, it’s all love of a lifetime serve.
Rudeboyz – MIA, Rihanna, Diplo – I was discussing this with a friend of mine and she looked agahst: adores MIA, loaths Rihanna. MY sympathesiz but this may change your mind
Paradise Circus – Massive Attack – This is Hope Sandoval’s track except for the beats are so dubby  and it trip hops so lush the dub production is what’s leading you on. Best song on the album maybe.
Headache – For Science – JAMC are owed a lot by a lot of people and I think they might be owed something for this fuzzy pop masterpiece. “You and headaches keep me up all night…” I have the album but part of the sin pf music blogging is very never settle.
Here Lies Love – David Byrne, Fatboy Slim – I tore this Santogold voiced song at some point. Now? The lyric is too prosaic for my tatstes and the track too old fashioned. But Santogold is a great singer.
Rose Garden – Nick Jonas and the Adminstration – What were you doing at seventeen? I know what I was and it wasn’t this. The back-up is serious R&B groove but the song is dreadful.
Theme From “Cheers” – Titus Andronicus
Sugarcube – Princeton
Autumn Sweater – Yo La Tengo – Their wedding song, as sweetly autumnly as humanly possible, it softly encircles you in a moment as the moment approaches -but their is a chance: “we could run away, wouldn’t that be better. Me with nothing to say and you in your Autumn sweater”>
