Dimming Of Brighter Than A Thousand Suns by The Boy

Brighter Than a Thousand Suns, named after the old Iron Maiden’s song, are a hardcore metal sound with an alt edge and this band is just, bad.
The song that I  listened to first was “Walls Made of Glass”, the remastered version apparently. The beginning of this song isn’t all that bad, but the instruments just sound slightly off. After the instrumental intro, the singer Angelika comes in. As soon as I heard her, I just wanted to stop listening automatically -she screams like hardcore but Her voice is horrible and just ruins the song. She sounds like she is trying too hard and to me, she sounds out of tune. But if you are able to actually get past that, you will find that the guy singer is actually pretty good. So thumbs up for Alex. As for Angelika, she should just leave. I honestly do not know why this song has the most plays out of their four songs on their Myspace.
The other song I listened to by this group was “The Inheritance”. Oddly enough, this is their least played song and it actually isn’t half bad. Alex is singing much more in this song. His voice is impressive and is a wonderful sound to my ears. Angelika sounds much better in this song in comparison to “Walls Made of Glass”. Everyone else in the band does a fair job at playing their instruments, even though the guitar is sort of repetivive.
My overall opinion, this band can be a lot better. Angelika just needs to improve her clean vocals and screams and Alex needs to have a bigger part in the songs.

If you want to, check them out. Who knows you might like them.
