de la Rocha-Oberst To Play Benefit in Los Angelese by Alyson Camus

The protest against Arizona immigration law will never stop, after boycotting the state, Sound Strike, Zack de la Rocha’s organization, has announced a benefit show at the Palladium on July 23rd in LA. The profits of the show will go to support organizations combating immigration law SB 1070: community organizations, student groups, legal defense funds and activists targeting key voting districts for voter registration.
The Sound Strike Fund is expected to raise over $300,000 from the concert and the donations!
Who is playing? Of course Rage Against The Machine who has not played in Los Angeles for 10 years, and Iman’s fave, Conor Oberst with his Mystic Valley Band!!
Zach de la Rocha and Conor Oberst on the same stage? Weird combination! You mean rap metal hardcore kids and folk emo kids in the same place? It’s may be interesting to watch what happens in the public.
