David Bowie’s Deluxe Station To Station Redux by Iman Lababedi

Sure I wrote about the rerelease of Station To Station weeks ago.
And of course I said that with no new material it is a bit whatever.

But I didn’t have this fabulous picture taken from pitchfork
And I didn’t have Helen Bach’s railing against Bowie whoring himself out on his fan site posted here yesterday.
Bowie is a ruthless businessman who leased his back catalogue for millions years ago and the assumption with this serious attempt to cash in on his music is that the lease is dead.
But
Station To Station is such a strange and lovely thing it is borderline churlish to complain about the man making more money (it was a flop at first by the by)  from his fantasy of love and betrayal in a cocaine mist of paranoia behind a fascist backdrop of Nazi salutes and German royalty.
