Regular readers of this blog will be aware of my deep affection for the late great song and dance man Danny Kaye. Sometimes a performers spirit seems to come somewhere straight from the heart and Danny Kaye whether daydreaming through Walter Mitty or conning Bing Crosby into taking a break in White Christmas eminates sweetness.
Now word comes that the Danny Kaye song and dance bio “Danny and Sylvia: The Danny Kaye Musical” at the St. Luke’s on West 46th street are discounting tix $39.50.
New York Times said of Brian Childers portrayal of Kaye: “He sings, dances and leaps about the stage, skillfully recreating Kaye’s clownish personality.”
