Damon and Noel Make Up After The Chart Wars

Pushing his first post-Oasis album, Noel's reasonable British Gentlemen is having the unwanted effect of making him seem like a terrible hypocrite and Liam a genuine man of the people.

It might help if the album is killer but two songs in I sincerely doubt it.

Still, not everything Noel says is completely asinine, and if this quote is the last word on the chart wars of 1995 in which Oasis' classic  What's The Story (Morning Glory) went head to head with Blur's less able The Great Escape. Blur won the first round, the singles, but Oasis killed em on the album front.

Damon won out sales wise with Blur's "Song 2" and even more so with his band Gorillaz.

Anyway, here is Noel with the last word on the battle Of the bands: "Funnily enough, when I was out last night, I bumped into him (Damon). I literally haven't seen the guy for 15 fucking years and I bump into him in some club. We both went, 'Hey! Fucling hell!' and then he said, 'Come on, let's go for a beer.'

"So we're sitting having a beer, just going, 'What the fuck was that about 15 years ago? That was mental.'

"Then he said, 'It was a great time though,' and I was like, 'Yeah, it was a fucking good laugh.' It was cool man."
