As much as Rolling Stone is slagged for being a bunch of fat cat out of touch wind bags, we really need to take a moment to slap Alternative Press.
But not for the same reason.
AP is a great resource- my favorite rag so to speak and through them have learned about some great unsigned bands, ripped off some great interview questions and swooned at the babe covered covers.
But c’mon now we already know the numerous covers are a joke ‘collectors items’… yeah k.
But this month as my hear races for Warped, my cover arrives with;
The Rocket Summer Bryce Avary (yay!) Bring Me The Horizon Olly Sykes (YUM!), We The Kings Travis Clark (awww poofy) and Alkaline Trio Matt Skiba….huh?
Who put the dad up there? Is he babysitting?

OK, if this cover was supposed to get me pumped for Warped- it didn’t. Warped got me pumped for Warped. Mike Shawn of Alesana? Mayday Parades, Derek Sanders? How about legends like maybe Mike Saunders of the Angry Samoans…….
Alkaline Trio? Seriously?
