An open letter to Conor Oberst.
Conor, I agree but not so.
Why can’t people deal with ambiguity.
This is an ambigious subject.
If people wanna sneak through the border to be paid $5 (or even $500) an hour, I get it. I don’t want them arrested or even deported. I realize it’s a tricky subject but so what?
BUT
If
1) they are being abused financially
2) maintainig a drug war over here
or
3) killing people over here
well,
not so much
it is a terrible thing filled with nuances and it isn’tanswered by boycotting the State,
I love Conor Oberst but he is simply wrong. i don’t know but i suspect it is a bad law. But if Arizona wanted to reinstate slavery I would still be against boycotting the State.
Are you gonna boycott Israel as well?
