I like Chris Martin cuz I like boys with a gap between their two front teeth and I also love his voice.
Apparently he was considering a solo venture, dig this ‘huh?’ worthy quote:
“If Bono from U2 or I were to release solo album they would be cringeworthy. It’s still the same person singing but it’s the gang aspect that makes you acceptable. If you take me out of the band, I can’t dance or do what Beyonce Knowles does. I’m only surviving on enthusiasm and collective chemistry.”
I often wonder if anyone would notice. Lead singers are literally the voice of a band.
I cant help but think we wouldn’t know if it were solo or not, depending on the title of course.
I mean can any of us go…….hey wait a minute! That’s not Guy Berryman on the bass!
And g’head name me another member of Coldplay.
So basically… meh, we’d never know til the tour and even then, I’m thinking few of us could identify anyone but Martin. Would it change the dynamic? I doubt it.
