My friend, the great singer songwriter Wesley Wolfe, had mentioned it had found very reasonably priced software for when he recorded his album Storage (surely one of the best albums of the year) but I can’t find it on line.
I did find this:
Recording software and it is FREE.
It looks like this is for mixing but even so… record the basic tracks on cheap analogue and mix em on free software. If you are any good you’ve got (ta dah) studio quality for very, very little.
