A cynic might claim that being Norway’s best live rock band is a step ahead of being France’s best rapper. But I have heard a lotta good stuff coming outta Scandinavia the past coupla years and bigbang are pretty damn ace so keep your knee jerk reactionism to yourself.
The press release namechecks the Allman Brothers, Tom Petty -classic rockers like that, and that may well be since they’re two US albums down and all I’ve heard is this tight little rocker that reminds me of those early double 0 bands like the Hives.
“Call Me” is a sexy little come on that’ll drag the girls on the dancefloor and your local rock club and into the night to see if they can prove it on stage…
Edendale is the name of their current album and the lead singer’s name is Øystein Greni and if that ain’t rock and roll enough for ya the songs sure will be.
