A sort of sad tale –
Bob Springer used to play w/Harry Chapin was a friend of my son and taught my son how to play the drums.
Bob used to come up to my apartment and was a very nice young man – he was about 6 or 7 yers older than Jim.
I don’t know why but Bob Springer died years ago. Supposedly it was deliberate – who knows? My son was devastated.
My son was watchin TV and saw someone that reminded him of Bob – he said “I wonder whatever happened to Bob”?
I was able to go on the net to show him Bob Springers name on Harry Chapins site. Made my son’s night. But not mine.
