Bruce Roehrs, columnist for famed Punk rag Maximum Rock and Roll, passed away peacefully in his home, he was 60 yrs old.
Although there tons of contributors each edition to MRR, there were really just a handful of ‘regulars’,
the columnists, the actual voice of MaximumRocknRoll. The columns of George Tabb, Mykel Board, Ben Weasel, Tim Yohannan (founder and columnist who died in 1998), and Bruce Roehrs.
A fund has been estabished to to donate to a memorial in his honor and can be found at Maximum Rock and Rolls website.
What saddens me here is the lack of coverage on Roehrs death. A critic and a hardcore it just goes to show you, the underground remains so.
