Robbie Williams first single in three years, the damn good dance number “Bodies” failed to reach the number one spot in the UK sending shock waves through the country. It really is fabulous and I’ve never figured out why the man hasn’t broken stateside. I mean, he isn’t English English, the way Paul Weller or Ciff Richard are. And the two times I’ve seen him live, at the Hammerstein Ballroom and , he blew the house down. A terrific performer and a sexy guy who crosses party and sexuality lines when he isn’t in rehab.
“Bodies” is all beats and drums and is very tasty indeed.
Otherwise, Streisand in the top ten? And Vera Lynn? Ahh those eclective limeys…
