The title of her art exhibit? ‘Scumfuck’, since her ‘center piece’ is a portrait of the Hardcore Sade admirer punk rocker GG Allin,… a complete program by itself.
The notebook collection is a series of very dark, scary and gloomy drawings made with graphite and ink on paper. Some are flanked of small sentences like ‘Chocolate from the bald man’, ‘Be civil or I’ll eat the sun’, ‘I don’t owe you shit’, ‘Treat me like your mother or I’ll eat the sun’, some imagination right there!
There is also a portrait of Jim Jones (the sect leader responsible for the death of hundred of people in Jonestown), and other characters who may be some obscure references such as ‘Chopsy Cheech’, ‘Spector Hector’ and ‘Celestial Splendor’.
I did not expect blue birds and pink flowers from Kurt and Courtney’s daughter but these nightmarish visions are really impressively morbid and spooky.
The art pieces are said to be inspired from Al Columbia (cartoonist, illustrator, writer, photographer, musician, and filmmaker), Frank Kozik (American graphic artist who has produced artwork for Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Nine Inch Nails, Neil Young, Sonic Youth, Green Day, Beck,…), and Satan (evil guy).
But I forgot to say, all the drawings are already sold!
La Luz De Jesus is a small art gallery in my neighborhood, which always hosts very interesting stuff. I went there to take a look by myself and it is quite good actually, much impressive than it appears on the pictures.

I wish I had known! But nobody, or almost nobody, knew that Fiddle Tim, whose art exhibit has just opened at La Luz De Jesus Gallery in Hollywood, is in fact Frances Bean Cobain’s pseudonym. Kurt’s daughter is effectively an artist and I read that she made a short appearance on Friday night, during the artist reception.
