Escape The Fate came out with a new song called “Massacre”. This new song will be on the band’s third album. It appears that many people are hating on the new sound of Escape The Fate, from the comments i read on their Myspace. It isn’t half bad.
The heavy parts are good, but the other parts well, they aren’t so great. Craig’s singing sounds much different than in previous Escape The Fate releases. It quite frankly is kinda bad. But Craig’s screaming is phenomenal as usual.The lyrics, to me, seem to be about drug usage from the beginning, “This is a habit. Drugs were made for addicts like me.” The song mainly talks about that and not deserving to live and losing people.
Aside from the imperfections of the song, there are several good parts. One of these is the intro. The intro is my favorite part of the song. It is incredibly catchy mainly due to Monte and Robert. Monte always has a very good sounding guitar in the songs. As for Robert, I’ve always been a fan of his drumming because it’s just incredible and rhythmically good.
Overall, I would give this song a 3 out of 5.
