Blur Go Missing in NYC

Nothing personal but what a buunch of berks Blur are.

After releasing The Miracle Whip (my review), Blur announced they were playing Fallon (see below) and then offered up a free concert at Music hall Of Williamsburg yesterday(here) and then…
I couldn’t get into Fallon, I couldn’t get a free ticket to the concert, and even if I could, I couldn’t leave at 3pm to get a in line for a 530pm show on the odd chance I might actually get in because, ta dah, a ticket does not insure entry.

If it did, I would have gotten a ticket off Vivid Seats for $140 after service fees. I’d have paid the bucks for secured entry (I went to Eric Clapton last night, but figured I could do both).
As is, I called my friend at Fallon who couldn’t get me in and called my friend at Bowery Presents, who also couldn’t get me in.

Their first NYC gig since 2003, and Blur decide to perform at a tiny club instead of, at least the beacon or something. then give tickets away free and finally warnt hat it is first come first served. In conclusion: inusring I for one don’t have a chane in hell of getting in.

If it was just me, well, fine. But Blur’s heyday was in the 1990s, so really anybody with a job was gonna find it ifficult and to add insult to injury, if they could get a ticket and then could risk it, they still couldn’t get in. If you work in the City, you might not get there till 4pm by which time you’ll be at the end of a line starring 4000 college kids.

Meawhile, here is Blur singing their ecellent “Ong Ong” on Fallon.
