Blogging Is Like A Diary: Life Goes On And Time Goes -By Iman Lababedi

There is a reason Helen and I are bloggers and not rock critics and that’s because we live in music in real time. This is a diary about writing about thinking about rock music in real time.
And I guess I lost the real time so I am posting this right after I wrote it.
“I don’t know how to dance real slow but I can try”: this line is so good Marshalll Crenshaw coulda written it. The Superchunk song? I have no clear idea what’s on their mind, I’m thinking that oil leak, but it is the most romantic line on earth.
Reading about a spinner post about 50 greatest riffs ever? Stones Satisfaction was # 1, but #48 Slater-Kinney’s ‘Dig Me Out”.
There are so many songs I wish I’d wriiten…. “will her heart ever be satisfied”… the problem with being in love is it is soooo hard to feel sorry for yourself. About love… I spend my life daydreaming about what I already have. Emotionally? Not having your love is deadly. Artistically? The bomb. It’s the difference between “Goodday Sunshine” and “For No One” -two great songs but I prefer “For No One”.
But I prefer feeling  “Good day Sunshine”.
Listening to “Grooveallegiance
‘ALL DAY FUNK, TODAY FUNK”
Here is my pledge: when it comes to pop listen to the back beat…….
