Black Eyed Peas On SNL; Like Cool cartoon characters

Last night on Saturday Night Live, the band of the year, Black Eyed Peas, lined up like on stage like they were auditioning for a new Marvel Superhero comic, and ripped into “I’ve Got A feeling” and “Meet Me Halfway”.
I saw the band years ago and thought they were nothing special, a little too jokey for my tastes, Will I Am was a poor man’s Big Boi and Fergie no Gwen Stefani. The other two disappeared into the woodwork like Cyclops in the X-Men.
Not true now. Will I Am looks like a visitor from the far future, Fergie the instigator of a gang bang,, a hardcore punker via Native America and Taboo a reject froma remake of West Side Story. They have personality to burn and riding one hit after another (both of the songs they played were smashes, “Meet Me Halfway” hasn’t even peaked yet) and the album, The E.N.D. is just six months old. They haven’t even toured.
If the question is what can Black Eyed Peas do for an encore, the answer is the concert staging of a lifetime, and if the next question is yes but can Black Eyed Peas pull it off. on the strength of last nights performance, the answer is yes they can.
