I haven't seen Bjork on stage since around the time she was dressing like a swan for the Oscars, and, except for the Dirty Projectors project, haven't been overly thrilled with her recordings since about the same time. Certainly, last years Biophilia, with its interactive apps and newly invented instruments, isn't remotely worth the effort .
So the news she is performing a New York residency between the Queens Museum Of Science and Roseland in February is interesting but not fascinating. With cheap seats at $75 and the more expensive north from there, the prices are less than thrilling as well.
Apparently, Bjork will also be providing some sort of music education for children in Queens so if I go I guess it'll be to the Roseland gig, and I hate Roseland. Which makes me think I'm gonna be stuck paying the higher tix amount if I plan to see anything at all.
One other thing. The Queens museum? Take the 7 to 111th street and it's three blocks north, so I guess that can't be much easier.
Tix go on sale thru Ticketmaster, Friday 13th at 10am.
