Not only Best Coast and Wavves are touring together this winter, but Bethany Cosentino and Nathan Williams have recorded a Christmas song together!
‘Got Something for You’ is just your typical too-happy-to-believe-it Christmas tune, with lots of jingle bells, lots of woo-woo, and lyrics talking about Christmas tree (Paul Simon just did a Christmas song too, I have only heard it once, but at least it’s original!)
Anyway, these two are from LA, and over here, we never get into Christmas, it’s too sunny, too hot and too bright to get in the mood.
The song is part of a Target compilation, yes that store that wears Christmas colors all year long, and it features 9 other songs by Guster, Blackalicious, Darker my love among others,… it looks like Target is doing what it can to look very Indie.
