I am eagerly awaiting the opportunity to see the great director Todd Solondz’s follow-up to “Happiness”, “Life During Wartime”. The reviews have been firmly in the mixed column, ranging, well, from hateful to pretty damn positive.
The Beck- Devandra Bernhardt-Tood Solamz song “Life During Wartime” is easier to pinpoint on the richter scale. It sucks bad. A dreary, boring, self-righteous mess which should be taken out and shot at dawn and which David Byrne should be very relieved to hear because it isn’t on the same planet of wonderfulness as the Talking Head song of the same name.. “Why did I roam, I shoulda stayed home and thrown out your iphone. Alyson will be mad at me, but why don’t they all not sing this song?
