Beatles Secretary Freda Kelly For Dummies

If you are a Beatles fan, I guess you are already making plans to see director Ryan White's bio about the Beatles secretary from 1962 to 1972 Freda Kelly, when she ended the Beatles fan club and quit two years after the band themselves quit. Here is Freda's story made easy though I would guess everybody is a Beatles fan and that you will end up using this as a crib sheet.

1. 17 years old when she was hired by the Beatles

2. Used her home address for the Beatles fanclub.

3. Collected the Beatles hair when they had a haircut and gave it to fans!

4. Lennon got down on his knees and begged Freda to stay after he fired her for being late to a gig.

5. Used to take sacks of mail for the Beatles to sign while they were watching TV.

6. Ringo would use one as a pillow.

7. The title of the song comes from a 1963 Christmas fanclub release where the boys shouted out "Good Ol' Frida".

8. Never sold her story.

9. Never sold any of the memorabilia she had, she gave it away to fans.

10. The Beatles allowed four original songs to be used in the documentary.

11. The movie is very discrete -no tell all here.

12. Frida's best times were when the Beatles were still playing the cavern.

13. SHe arranged bookings.

14. Cut paychecks.

15. Managed the fanclub.

16. Fans would send four sticks of chewing gum, Frida would have the boys chew em and she would return them to the fans.

17. "The amount of personal attention and true affection that she served the Beatles' fans with – teenage girls, mostly – will probably go unmatched throughout music history,"  Ryan White said.

It sounds just awesome and I can't wait to see it, What a sweet woman, right?
