Perhaps by the time we reach January 6th some new music will be ready for release but right now? There is nothing out there except the NYE dropped West and McCartney “Only One” with West autotuned for some weird reason and McCartney singing back up and playing piano.
I like the song a lot but maybe not as much as I might have, it is alright, not bad, not quite strong enough… not 808s caliber for sure.
Meanwhile, if I had a medium sized rock band, say a Titus Andronicus, I’d release an album on Tuesday. I reviewed it when it was first released and thought it was Kanye writing about his mother and daughter, actually it was his mother writing through him to his daughter. Very moving if you’re Kanye, Kim or North. But if you wanna hear Kanye (and Hov) be moving about parenthood go to “The New Day”… otherwise there is nothing here now… next year the new Bronson drops…
