My Name Is My Name – Pusha T – Modern gangsta by a Yeezus protegee on his second album. Must try harder – C

Old – Danny Brown – All those A$AP guys we expect, but Purity Ring??? – B

Mountains Of Sorrow, Rivers Of Song – Amos Lee – Brutal singer songwriter – D

Melophobia – Cage The Elephant – Which means fear of music and I couldn’t agree more – C-

The Paradigm Shift – Korn – When? Did I miss it? – C

Soy El Misno – Prince Royce – Latin American pop star making a half hearted crossover move, one track with Selena! – C

Frame By Frame – Cassadee Pope – Former Hey Monday lead singer, The Voice winner bore – C

Monsters In The Closet – Mayday Parade – This is fairly lame emo rock – C

Fortress – Alter Bridge – I am sure these former Creed members are very nice guys, middle class, wife and kids,  pay their taxes, vote democrat, trying to make an honest buck playing the music they love. So it’s nothing personal.  But it wasn’t me who told em to name the first song on their new album “City Of Achilles”  now was it? – D

Crickets – Joe Nichols – Typical country singer 2013 – C-

Talking Dreams – Echosmith – OK emo rockers plus chick singer for Lost Wages – C+

High Rise – Stone Temple Pilots – Wow, and you thought they couldn’t be any worse. Substituting Scott with Chester Bennington is like if Nirvana substituted Kurt for Scott – D

You Can’t Make Old Friends – Kenny Rogers – Never before has plastic surgery done more to derail a career. Just the worst – D-

Silver Bell – Patty Griffin – Talented singer songwriter a little on the dowdy side – C

When The Night – St. Lucia – Very pretty, a little whatever and I can do without the vocalist – C

Bitter Rivals – Sleigh Bells – Excellent, this is the album of the week on first listener – B+

Brand New Machine – Chase & Status – English hip hop so you know it’s trying harded – B

We Need Medicine – The Fratellis – A long time coming but they’ve still got a great lead vocalist – B+

The Speed Of Things – Dale Earnhardt Jr – Talented indie rockers – B

Tender Madness – Papa – A good week for indie rockers – B

Ponder The Mystery – William Shatner – Let’s not and say we did – D+
