I was so sorry to read about the death of six year old Avalanna Routh, who came to the worlds attention when Justin Bieber paid the young fan a visit. rock nyc, along with the rest of the planet, reported it It was a pleasure to write, just a very genuine and sweet story about the connection between a huge teenage pop star and a little girl. The friendship was so keen, so real: I loved the story.
Avalanna died of cancer on September 27th, 2012 at the age of six. and this is what Justin said on Twitter according to contactmusic.com: "Just got the worst news ever. One of the greatest spirits I have ever known is gone. Please pray for her family and for her. RIP Avalanna. I love you." He then followed it up by posting a picture of the two of them together from his visit, calling her his "angel", and then promised that, in memory of her, he was going to "make the most of everyday".
The thing about death is because everyday dies all the time, unless it effects us, unless we are pushed towards it, we don't (we can't, we would go insane) feel everybody's loss. Every pain. So while six year old girls die all day long, we don't know about it. But we know about this one, we got a sense of this lively lovely girl Alanna Routh, and that youngsters loss feels terrible. It sucks.
And while I disagree with Bieber, life is much too precious to make the most of everyday. Sometimes we wanna waste days int heir entirety. Still, let's make the most of this one.
